I had the privilege of working with the Creator and Director Keyan Carlile to develop the launch trailer for his original animated pilot Para(NOT!)Normal. I got to pitch a few jokes specifically for the trailer, including the "from a guy who watched" bit and the "what are we, some kind of Para(NOT!)Normal?" joke which Keyan enjoyed and had Miriam's VA record exclusively for the trailer.
It was a fun challenge to edit around a lot of spoilery moments/reveals, while still being ~dramatic~ and funny. Keyan's writing favors layered jokes that are rooted in the characters and context of the scene as opposed to quippy one-liners, so it was also important to establish enough character context for the jokes presented to be funny.
I also edited two different vertical versions for Instagram/Shorts/TikTok:
